1.  INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

Goodwork Productions, LLC ("Goodwork," "we," "our," or "us") operates Goodwork Productions, Goodwork Casting, and Goodwork Ad — collectively providing video production, talent casting, and advertising services globally, with principal operations in Los Angeles, California.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our websites, digital properties, casting submissions, client portals, email communications, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). It governs how we collect, use, retain, disclose, and protect your personal information and describes your rights under applicable law.

By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use of our Services.

2.  COMPLIANCE FRAMEWORK

We operate in compliance with:

•  California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) (Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.100–1798.199.100)

•  California Shine the Light Law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83)

•  CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.)

•  Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq.)

•  Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act) (15 U.S.C. § 41 et seq.)

•  Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with respect to website accessibility

•  Any other applicable federal, state, or local laws

3.  PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with our Services:

a.  Identifiers. 

Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, IP address, unique device identifiers, account login credentials.

b.  Commercial and Transaction Information. 

Service agreements, invoices, payment records, project history, casting submissions, talent contracts, production bookings.

c.  Internet and Electronic Activity. 

Browser type, operating system, pages viewed, session duration, referring URLs, click-path data, cookies and similar tracking identifiers.

d.  Geolocation Data. 

Approximate location derived from IP address; precise location only when explicitly permitted by you.

e.  Professional and Employment-Related Information. 

Résumés, portfolios, talent profiles, headshots, reels, agency affiliations, work history, union status (as applicable for casting purposes).

f.  Audio, Visual, and Audiovisual Data. 

Headshots, self-tape submissions, production footage, on-set recordings, and related media submitted through Goodwork Casting or production workflows. All talent are required to sign a release before any shoot, with usage and buyout terms stated in the agreement. For casting submissions not selected, media is retained for up to 2 years unless deletion is requested sooner.

g.  Sensitive Personal Information (CPRA-Designated). 

Where applicable and with required disclosures or consent: government-issued identification numbers (for employment eligibility verification), financial account information (for payroll or vendor payment processing only), and health or medical information (only where production safety or insurance requires it). We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those necessary to provide requested services, and we do not sell or share sensitive personal information.

h.  Communications Data. 

Emails, inquiry forms, support messages, and any other communications you send us.

4.  HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

Directly from you: When you submit inquiries, casting applications, contact forms, project briefs, or create accounts.

Automatically: Via cookies, web beacons, pixels, and analytics tools when you use our website.

From third parties: Talent agencies, production partners, casting platforms, or referral sources in the normal course of business.

From public sources: Publicly available professional profiles and databases relevant to casting and production.

5.  PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION AND USE

We collect and use personal information solely for the following business purposes:

Service Delivery: Processing casting submissions, managing productions, delivering advertising services, and fulfilling contractual obligations.

Communications: Responding to inquiries, sending project updates, and providing customer support.

Website Optimization: Analyzing user behavior to improve site navigation, content, and performance.

Marketing and Outreach: Sending relevant service information and promotional materials to existing clients and prospects (subject to opt-out rights).

Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Meeting obligations under applicable law, responding to legal process, and enforcing agreements.

Security: Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.

Business Operations: Internal recordkeeping, financial administration, payroll processing, and vendor management.

Automated Decision-Making.  Goodwork Productions, LLC does not use automated decision-making technology or profiling in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Accordingly, there is no automated profiling for which an opt-out is required. Should our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide required disclosures before implementing any such processing.

6.  COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our Services:

Strictly Necessary: Required for core site functionality. Cannot be disabled.

Analytics: Track aggregate usage patterns (e.g., Google Analytics). Pseudonymized and not used to identify individuals directly.

Marketing/Advertising: Track campaign effectiveness and user engagement across platforms. Subject to your opt-out rights.

Preference: Store your settings and preferences across sessions.

You may manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or via our cookie consent tool (where applicable). Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information under CPRA.

7.  DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. However, under CCPA/CPRA, sharing personal information with third-party advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a "sale" or "share." You have the right to opt out of this — see Section 10.

We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: Vendors who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payroll, email, CRM) under written contracts prohibiting independent use.

Business Partners: Production companies, agencies, studios, and casting platforms in the ordinary course of fulfilling services, under applicable confidentiality obligations.

Crew and Freelancers: All crew members and freelance vendors engaged by Goodwork are bound by default confidentiality obligations covering all project details, client information, and unreleased work. Confidentiality obligations survive project completion. Where a project requires it, a formal NDA is executed in addition to these default obligations.

Legal Requirements: When required by court order, subpoena, government request, or applicable law.

Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

Safety: Where disclosure is necessary to prevent harm to any person.

Current third-party service provider categories include: cloud hosting (e.g., GoDaddy, Wix), analytics platforms, email service providers, and payment processors. A current list is available upon request.

We do not disclose, sell, or trade personally identifiable information to unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. In accordance with California's Shine the Light Law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83), California residents are entitled to request information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing use. Because Goodwork Productions, LLC does not make such disclosures, there are no categories or recipients to report. Requests may nonetheless be submitted to hello@goodworkprods.com with the subject line "Shine the Light Request."

8.  FOOTAGE, IP OWNERSHIP, AND MEDIA RETENTION

For all client productions:

The client owns the final delivered work in all cases, per the terms of the signed client agreement. Goodwork retains the right to use completed, released work in its portfolio and for promotional purposes unless that right is expressly waived in writing in the client agreement.

Raw and production footage is retained internally for approximately 6 months to 1 year from project delivery, after which it is securely deleted or returned to the client on request. During the retention period, raw footage is stored with restricted access — freelancers and crew are granted access only to their specific project folder, never to master drives, financial systems, or other client materials.

Clients may request return or deletion of raw footage at any time by contacting hello@goodworkprods.com.

Unreleased material (cuts, assets, footage) is shared externally only via password-protected links, which expire at delivery. Nothing unreleased is posted, shared, or disclosed publicly prior to the client's official release.

9.  DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as required by law, or as needed to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

10.  YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS)

Under CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the following rights, which we honor without discrimination. These rights apply to all California residents whose personal information we collect, including clients, talent, crew, freelancers, job applicants, and other individuals — not only consumers.

a.  Right to Know (Access). 

Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared.

b.  Right to Data Portability. 

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a portable, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the information to another entity. Portability requests are processed under the same timeframe as Right to Know requests.

c.  Right to Delete. 

Request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions (e.g., completing a transaction, complying with legal obligations, security purposes).

d.  Right to Correct. 

Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

e.  Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing. 

Direct us not to sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out: email hello@goodworkprods.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"; call (323) 450-7894; or use a Global Privacy Control (GPC)-enabled browser (honored automatically). We will act on opt-out requests within 15 business days of receipt and will notify relevant third parties within 90 days.

f.  Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. 

Request that we limit the use of your sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the requested services.

g.  Right to Non-Discrimination. 

Exercising any of these rights will not result in denial of services, different pricing, or any other discriminatory treatment.

Verification

We will verify your identity before processing requests. For requests submitted by an authorized agent, we require written authorization or a valid power of attorney.

Response Timeframes

•  Opt-out of sale/sharing: 15 business days from receipt.

•  All other rights requests (Know, Portability, Delete, Correct, Limit, Non-Discrimination): We will respond within 45 days. If additional time is needed, we will notify you in writing within the initial 45-day period and may extend by an additional 45 days (90 days total), with explanation.

11.  NEVADA RESIDENTS

Nevada residents may request that we not sell their covered information by contacting us at hello@goodworkprods.com with the subject line "Nevada Privacy Request."

12.  CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA)

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at hello@goodworkprods.com.

For casting or production services involving minors (ages 13–17), we collect information only with verified parental or guardian consent, and in compliance with applicable California child performer laws (Labor Code § 1308.5 et seq.) and federal requirements. A work permit, studio teacher, and on-set guardian are required for all minors on set.

13.  SECURITY

We implement industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

•  SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest.

•  Project-scoped access controls: Crew and freelancers are granted access only to the specific project folder they are engaged on. Access to master drives, financial systems, vendor accounts, and other client materials is restricted to authorized personnel only.

•  Tiered offboarding: System access is revoked promptly upon project completion. Personnel with financial system access are offboarded within 2–3 weeks of project wrap; all other crew and coordinators are removed within 48 hours of wrap.

•  Password management: Shared credentials are managed through a secure password manager, administered by the Founder/EP. Passwords are rotated whenever a person with access leaves a project or the organization.

•  Review link security: All client review links for cuts and deliverables are password-protected and expire upon delivery.

•  Regular security assessments and vendor audits, and incident response procedures in compliance with California's data breach notification law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.29 and § 1798.82).

In the event of a qualifying data breach affecting California residents, we will notify affected individuals and the California Attorney General as required by law.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you suspect a security incident involving your information, contact us immediately.

14.  EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS (CAN-SPAM COMPLIANCE)

Commercial email communications we send comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Each marketing email includes clear identification of the sender, a valid physical postal address, and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us at hello@goodworkprods.com. Transactional and service-related emails are not subject to marketing opt-outs.

15.  THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.

16.  DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for opt-out of sale and sharing under CPRA.

17.  CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Services. We will post the updated policy on our website with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law (e.g., email notification or prominent website notice at least 30 days in advance).

Continued use of our Services after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
